Terms for food orders
Extra terms that apply when ordering prepared food (delivery or pickup).
These terms apply specifically to orders placed in our Food storefront (prepared meals, groceries for immediate consumption, and other perishable items). They are in addition to our general Terms of Service.
In this section, “we” refers to the marketplace platform. Restaurants and food partners are independent businesses responsible for food preparation, ingredients, and packaging.
1) Preparation & partner responsibility
CoreFood items are prepared by independent restaurants/partners. They are responsible for ingredient accuracy, preparation standards, food safety practices, and packaging decisions.
We facilitate ordering, payment flow (where applicable), and delivery coordination.
2) Availability, substitutions & menu changes
CoreMenu items may become unavailable. A partner may substitute items (e.g., size, flavor, garnish) where reasonable to fulfill your order.
If a substitution materially changes the order, the partner or support may contact you. If we cannot reach you in time, the order may be completed with a reasonable substitute or partially fulfilled.
3) Delivery windows & scheduled slots
Food-specificFood delivery may use scheduled time slots. Slots represent an expected delivery window, not a guaranteed arrival time. Actual arrival can vary due to demand, restaurant prep times, traffic, weather, and courier availability.
If you select a delivery slot, please ensure someone can receive the order during the window, or provide suitable delivery instructions.
4) Pickup orders
Food-specificFor pickup, you are responsible for collecting your order at the selected location. Pickup readiness can vary depending on prep time. If you arrive early, you may need to wait; if you arrive late, quality may be affected.
5) Address & delivery instructions
ImportantYou are responsible for providing accurate delivery details (address, access notes, phone number). If delivery cannot be completed due to incorrect or incomplete details, the order may be treated as delivered or undeliverable depending on the circumstances.
Contactless delivery may be available. If you request contactless delivery, you accept the risk of loss once the order is left at the instructed location.
6) Food safety, storage & quality
ImportantPrepared food quality can decline over time. Please consume promptly or store safely. We recommend following standard food safety practices (refrigeration, reheating, etc.).

7) Allergens & dietary requirements
ImportantIf you have allergies or dietary requirements, review: Allergens & dietary information. We cannot guarantee allergen-free preparation due to cross-contact risk in kitchens.
Always check product descriptions and communicate requirements clearly where an option is provided.
8) Refunds, missing items & order issues
CoreBecause food is perishable, returns are generally not available. If something is wrong (missing items, incorrect items, quality issues), contact support as soon as possible.

9) Cancellations
ImportantFood orders may be difficult to cancel once preparation begins. If you need to cancel, contact support immediately. Cancellation eligibility may depend on order status and partner confirmation.
10) Pricing, fees & taxes
CorePrices may include service fees, delivery fees, and applicable taxes. You will see a breakdown during checkout. Totals can vary based on delivery/pickup selection and destination context.
Disclaimers & limitations
- We are not responsible for issues caused by inaccurate information you provide (e.g., wrong address, unreachable phone).
- Delivery times are estimates and may vary; we do not guarantee exact arrival times.
- To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the value of the affected order or the remedy specified in our refund policy.
